I've just ordered a Hotline Phoenix 1600 with the mobile control interface for quite a bit less than a Rappa 15000i with the remote. It'll let me switch it remotely but it'll also text me if the line voltage drops or is shorted, ideal as I'm about to use electric fence near the gypsy camp for the first time in 20 years :nailbiting::rolleyes:.

I'll let you all know how I get on with it once it's in use.
Have a fencer with the sim card here a year or so, it's a great job sends a text when the electric goes off (which is handy for other things) & if voltage drops. I keep forgetting that I can text it on/off tho it takes a good few mins to kick in.

Another busy day at the office, much cooler today and no wind so got some beet sprayed this morning.
This is the field that was under sown with barley at 50kg/ha, wasn’t sure whether to kill the beet or the barley to be honest:rolleyes::ROFLMAO:

Definitely killed these little blighters though!
(Mangle fly larvae:mad:)

Then went to a welger bailer, the customer had sent a work lad to pick the bailer up from another yard. When he got back the pto shaft had “just dropped off”

The main shaft through the flywheel had just broken somehow, so it’s a full strip down.

We came to the conclusion the the lad had moved the hydraulic drawbar across and it had wedged against the end of the pto shaft and snapped it! Just waiting on prices for a new crown wheel and pinion now:nailbiting:

Nipped to the jd dealers for some parts then to another customer to look at 3 tractors.

First was straight forward just a couple of new scv couplers a 6920.

Then an electrical fault on a 6420, turned out to be a bad contact on a fuse holder so that was also an easy fix.

And finally an oil leak on another 6920.
This was the fiddly one, the steering return pipe that goes to the top of the brake valve

In case you can’t tell it’s between the cab and the engine bulkhead.

And goes to the top of the brake valve under the dash.

The crown wheel and pinion won’t be cheap!
And setting the back lash is a bit of a fiddle!

I wouldn't call you a big gun, but i will give you credit for a job well done. It was the first time ever we had:-

1. Handed over the whole silage making process to a contractor

2. Drank bottled cider on my new garden decking whilst watching the tractors pass

......im happy (yet fuzzy)
Yeah noticed you kept all the magners to yourself :cautious:

I was thinking at least 2.5k for parts!
What’s a well used welger AP730 worth? I’d say 5k maybe? It’s not mint condition:cautious:. Going to be touch and go as a right off I recon, only dose about 500 bales a year now!
Yeh £5 k for the baler at best. If the parts are £2.5k I will be surprised!
