Today at work

If it’s stays dry long enough it’ll probably get rolled again, it’s not the sort of ground (moss/peat) you can roll unless it’s 100% dry otherwise it will stick in the rollers and pull the plants up! Trouble is we struggle to get 3 dry days together in this part of the world, it’s raining now and had most of the night!
im on red sandstone and any crop that yellow the roller would fix as the roots are too loose from frost heave(y)
i wouldnt think twice about dragging our 3t 10ft flat roller on the fields as long as the top was dry enough not to stick:)

Our 6m Cambridge rollers are little heavier than that and tend to pull up the soil if it’s even remotely damp! Moss still feels like a sponge to walk on even after it’s been rolled.

They are more or less in a straight line and vary from 26 to 52 inches apart.

Whereabouts are you? Any big cat sightings in your area? they are pretty big

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
