Due to recent rain had to move the dirty water irrigator, it had been on one single run all winter and had just stopped - found that the trailing pipe was grown into the grass and it had 2 flat tyres.
One thing about the rain - it has cleaned the sheep up.

I left for a farmer's market with some fluid showing and came back to this.
First calf born here (and first for this girl), Jersey x Guernsey, looks like it's a boy (so, rose veal rather than a second milking animal!)

Have quartered Norfolk over the last few days (busmans holiday) and I thought that the rape in general was looking pretty well, didn’t see many fields with bad areas, unlike quite a few seen on the trip back through the midlands.
There does seem to be a massive amount of spring barley sown though, I wonder how much of this follows a failed OSR crop?

Took the rain-making machine off the tractor - 33 mm of rain since I put it on 3 days ago, the weather Gods are very sensitive, I only put it on to change the oil.
Put the fert spreader back on instead - that usually makes a drought happen.

Developments in the ongoing saga of the Fastcrap having no air pressure.
I decided the unloader valve was stuck open.
Cue removing the hydraulic tank so I could get the unloader out.
Stripped the valve down, couldn't find anything wrong, but after conducting scientific tests (blowing into it) I decided it was now working.
Praise the lord.
This Simmy heifer also finally calved today, she's been like this for about 3 weeks!
I ain't going in with her to tag it though, she's a bit porky....
Did some road repairs too and other boring shizzle

Last week spreading some N before the rain
Drilling with 'new' to us Vaderstad turned out ok considering it had virtually no rain since it was drilled (pictures taken before this weeks rain)
The tidy up continues, this time part of our potato growing past.
