Finished the field walking. Only one black grass plant this year in this 48acres. It is quite a relief after spending 5 part days a year roguing it for at least the last 5 or 6 years. Overall this year there has been nil black grass in the known hotpots so roguing does eventually win. Winter barley in the background quite a contrast to the spring.

Never good finding water....... 3 feet down and there was a 90mm storm water pipe ffs....

planned on using rubber couplers. Fine one end. Other end was the gift that kept on giving....Pipe did a 90° bend . Thought fine. I'll knock the busted fitting off and put a new elbow on. Turns out it a frìģgen T piece. So shoved the pipe on as best I could and tightened up the other end.....And pretended I never saw it...

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
