The clump of Bush in centre is 400yds out.
Gopher very reachable at 270yds.

Pulling all the drums off a new to me grain trailer I bought last year. Brakes are good but a little bit of water damage on one bearing so both getting replaced. Ordered two sets while at it incase another pair need doing.

Having issues with pink eye so started to separate out any ewes or lambs with symptoms - as it turned out there were lots of them!

Took the opportunity to separate the remaining ewes and lambs and clik the ewes.

Paddock grazing and strip grazing the cows and calves as best I can. We’re finally starting to see the benefit of the rain that we’ve had in the last week or so.

The contractor was in and knocked down 5 acres that had got ahead of the cows, it was earmarked for hay but the weather has misbehaved and I’m off on holiday at the weekend, so silage it will be.

Big square bales for bedding cattle. Works well providing the dung is composted down for a year before I spread it. Tends to be more absorbent than straw.

Not usually. Put them through a Lucas Castor which chops it enough. Need the best part of 2 dry weeks so no guarantee I’ll get them.

Alright. I have tried them as bedding to but found it a useless exercise as it wouldn't absorb much at all. I didn't let it dry for two weeks though.
