No I’ve had that a few years now,was good value at the time, dread to think what it would cost now.Did it come with the front weight or you have to source it yourself

What do you bed the cows on really clean. The obligatory 'kitchen lamb' has arrived (the clattery one from weekend). He's improved in 24 hours but there's a niggling feeling he's a bit 'special' View attachment 1174097
Lots of other fun things too. Lambed the prolapse, a hung lamb, adopting a triplet onto a dead single, cow with milk fever, a bit more rain and a bit of sun too
All sorted out by the end of milking

And a nice single to finish on

Thank you Recycled wood fines. Doesn't stick to their flanks like paper or powder bed seems to. Keeping them clean prevents lots of other potential problems, we find. What do you bed the cows on really clean.

I know how you feel, this time last year we had spread all the silage ground with slurry, this year I’ve currently done two places and I had to pick and choose which fields I didnothing exciting happened since my last post, losing the will to live like many. is nice to see some getting on but doesn't stop the frustration. would like to go back to this day 2 years ago.

how is it going is v ring roller better . simon say it makes machine lighter . as we looking at one , and putting a drill on back , similar to the used one they haveDemo subdisc in and old subdisc out. View attachment 1160853View attachment 1160854
The New one is heavier as the cast ring packer is larger diameter and further back. 6155r picks it up ok but if the rings fill with mud in a very wet patch then it won’t. The cast rings are pulled into the worked soil by the nature of the shakerator legs which means that large angular stones wedge in between rings and then bend the scrapers and also banana the bar the scrapers are held on. Weavings are going to have a look and see if it needs modifying. The side boards stop a ditch forming on the one side which is much better. If anything it leaves a ridge on either side but the drill easily sorts that. Trash can sometimes wrap and drag on the side boards. It leaves the surface coarser with more clods compared to the gutter packer. Other than that it has worked well And I’ve been pleased with it. I only had the stone issues on the last two fields which would have gone better if the soil was drier I thought. I’ve run a marstig springtime with crumbler on the earlier worked to dry and move weeds prior to sprinter drill on 5” Dutch coulters. Last weekend I drilled direct into the subdisc ground which went in just as good although the soil was wetter underneath the surface. I couldn’t see it drying if I used the springtine first.how is it going is v ring roller better . simon say it makes machine lighter . as we looking at one , and putting a drill on back , similar to the used one they have

Spotted them at a fuel station .
We’ve had 13.5 mm in the last seven days but as it’s totally bare land with no cover on it the top dries very quickly. Fairly wet underneath t but dry enough to carry the tractor and drill .Looking good, you dodged a lot of the rain or just got to the feck it stage.
