Ah that explains it, Well done, you've made it rain, nice steady stuff tooView attachment 793928 So decided to get the combine out and header on , as there’s a few jobs to do on it.
My mechanic will be more inclined to get it done, if it’s in full view.
Yes over 100 hours a week at the minute. Silage. Umbilical. Ground work for maize. Drilling maize. Got 1000ac in another 2500 left. And starting forage rye tomorrow aswell. You working a lot of late nights?
Don’t be too hard on the old boy, I’m sure we all made mistakes when we were younger that our dads had to put right
But it’s interesting when you get older and the boot is on the other foot, my dad likes a bit of ‘job creation’
But I’m just glad we are still working together and I’m sure you feel the same way
Oh dear, at least you're well able to fix it.
Dare we ask what a replacement casting will cost?
Go easy on the old man, you miss them when there gone.
Exactly , because one day he will not be there and you will see that bent pto or broken casting in some neglected corner of the farmyard and remember.
Aim to remember with fondness not regret.
Sometimes a much bigger mess can emerge after they're gone.
Exactly, there will come a day he won't be there to shout at.
I'll take that rain if it's still availableSteady day rolling maize and then back over it all to put tramlines in for the sprayer driver to see where to go even though i could see where to go [emoji849][emoji849] oh and dont you just love it pissing down on a dusty tractor everything turns to sh!t View attachment 793906View attachment 793908View attachment 793910View attachment 793912

Have you factored in how much an alternative operative would cost too? You could have a student or apprentice which would cost you little in wages and lots in stupid mistakes.
Or you could hire a full time person (and probably house them too) for as little as £40K pa and they would still break stuff.
