Not quite so bad as the ones South of the Blackwater - lots of inbreeding down there, they haven't had telly very long......

We can see that road from lots of the fields that I have posted photos from in today at work and elsewhere.

So much grass ! This farm belonged to the late Mr Jack Weatherall. He was taught by a tinker dealer how to bump cattle and horses. Jack spent his life travelling around the barren cow rings of the South West. Gently pushing his fist in the correct position on a cow’s flank and feeling the calf head come back. He’d buy the “barrener”, have the calf born in due course and present the cow back through the freshly calved dairy ring . A whole farm and livelihood based on a knack. Some even preferred having Jack call to PD their brood mares

6am on a Sunday means we get Highbury Woods to ourselves . Not quick enough to get a photo of the deer in Mum and Dad’s paddock . The waterfalls are a big boys adventure playground
