Like the lake District, I'm sure its lovely one the two days when it isn't raining. Unlike the lake District, it's at least not dark at 4pm this time of year. I'd head home but its chumming it down in lincs too.

Churches feature large on the flat landscape. Many are 12th Century and may take flood overage up to the door threshold but not inside

The Military water defences were dug 200 years ago in case the French invaded and have "kinks" every 100m or so as this was as far as a cannon could fire. The bridge crossings were packed with explosives in WW2 in case of invasion by the German forces. A false alarm saw a few blown up and one still had explosives discovered under it until comparatively recently

Day out at the Beds YFC ploughing match,
Bit of a Deere theme, I had the 3130, daughter had the 2130 and son on the 6215.
We all came away with some prize cards, not bad as we haven't ploughed any of our own ground for several years.
