Looking to replace my old bluepoint tool box for the tractor cab or chopper tool box, with it being fathers day tomorrow so dont want anything to expensive. So far down to these 2 any advice. JCB or Stanley.

I'm a JCB fan, but not of the hand tool and garden lines, just devaluing the brand once again!
But that box looks good from the pic, be nice to see how strong it actually is, job to tell from a pic sometimes. It also looks to have a good seal round the lid!
We have some of the Stanley boxes, they are ok, but unless they've changed the design recently then the don't keep water out, the pocket where the handle sits fills up with water and then it runs in through the handle holes. A pain if you want to chuck it on the back of a pickup or leave it outside once in a while.

I have one of these Stanley Fits perfectly between the steps on the TM155 with an elastic to keep it on. With an elastic bungee to stop it sliding off.

Just looked at the JCB at B&Q miles to big for cab even the side box on the chopper me top chest is slightly bigger. Well made. Might go back to the old trusty cantilever boxes

Argos do a canny little draper one for less than a tenner. Have one with a few tools in for chucking in the cabs or pick up etc

Somebody told me a hydrovane doesn't need a reciever. No reciever, no testing. If you add up the cost of yearly tests it would probably pay for itself.

I'm looking for a hand tool for riviting solid iron rivit in webs kinda like a bolt cutter
Getting fed up of taking webbs out of machines and laying them down to fix one or two rivits
And no bolts are not always a option

We use the threaded backing plates from Halls with the counter-sunk allen headed set screws when in the field and rivet properly when web is out. Would these not do?

Ahh that's great , I will dig out the mag drill in question and get some ID off it and what I need, it's got a bent shaft iirc, but it's been a while since I've seen it it's around somewhere, too good to get rid of, just haven't got round to fixing it....your post reminded me about it
