Toolbox for Fendt

Hi all

I’d like to mount a toolbox on the diesel tank of our Fendt 516.
There are mounting bolts present, these are often used for fire extinguishers.

Im thinking something simple & made from stainless steel. Hinges made of stainless also.

I see that large boxes are available for mounting on the RHS of the cab but I’d rather not go this route.

I may just end up making one from mild steel and painting it.

Just following up on this for anyone that is interested.

I ended up getting a box made from stainless. Just nice and simple. Not the cheapest thing in the world but it should last well.

It’s attached using two of the existing bolts on top of the diesel tank. I added one extra 8mm bolt for extra strength.

It has crossed my mind, I must see if I have anything about. The lid has a 2cm flange around it so it should be fairly sealed as it is. I’ll see how we go.

Through the joys of technology, I just got an email to say you’ve posted on the thread.

I got the toolbox made locally here in Cork. I actually got a second toolbox made for a second Fendt (slightly different dimensions from the first one).
