Now, just a thought but im sure it could be done. Looking at wiring in a foot pedal to toggle GPS on/off instead of the button on the screen. Has anyone done this and if so, how?

must be a wiring diagram or harness adapter to allow you to do exactly that with ease - since on/off could be triggered by machine or lift arms or whatever.

Only have experience of JD Greenstar but its dead easy on that to hook up a switch or a 'in-work' trigger -you have the option of pull up (+12v) or pull down (0v) in the software. Trimble must be the same.

Check in the operators manual. I expect it will give details on which pins you need to add a switch between. That is what I did with my Trimble.

Interesting that JD accepts a +12v switching input. I think most others only work on connecting 2 pins and if you want it triggered by a voltage you just use a relay to isolate the pins from that voltage.

There is a plug on the harness can’t remember what it is labelled but something like remote engage or there abouts. Basically just needs a momentary on switch.

I used a micro switch in my combine and put it into the joystick. Any footswitch as long as it is a momentary on will work

That is for steer engage not remote mapping! There is a plug for mapping too!

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
