I've a broken leaf on my rear suspension if my pickup would it cause the leaf to shift towing the trailer with 40 posts. 3 turners 1 strainer, around 30 miles.

Or would doing a two or three trips with stuff in back of pick up be less problematic

Its middle leaf broken in at the u bolt.

If you Chance it
it could cost your more in the long run a tyre maybe or an accident if the other leafs break
I personally would fix it there only 100£ ish from memory clear conscience then
Im not having a go but if your towing a decent weight its quite risky imo.

I am surprised you even have to ask I thought farm trucks only got checked at the MOT? Saying that we once "borrowed" the works truck to take on a 75 mile round trip to see a friend one harvest wet evening. As we hadn't seen freedom or a girl in weeks we kept our toe down and made good time. A few days later a guy was driving the old shed down a farm track and the back axle fell off where the u bolts attach to the leaf springs. Someone must have been watching over us that night as at 90 mph I think it would have been lights out and at best we would have to explain what the truck was doing north of Cambridge and not in the yard at Harlow. The boss always did think she drank a lot of fuel.

Just changed mine, one side as op
Broken leaf , it had wiggled free and rattled on silencer, two springs fitted , not a hard job to do , but make it easier on yourself and get fitting kit / new shackles, you can then just cut old ones off and have nice new ones bolted on

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
