Tractor Hitches.

I’m in process of giving my 8340 a wee mechanical tidy up and whilst I’m at it a wee lock of paint.
The hitch on it has been a bit of a bodge job by previous owner, doing away with swing out and welding a few bits that look like they’re cracking underneath.
I don’t do much Trailer work with it but I also don’t want a trailer hooking off when I do.

Are dromone push out worth the £1600 on a older tractor?
or has anyone experience of the John Conaty hitch’s at half the price?

The one Conaty sells will be made by Hand Engineering which are located in the same town as Dromone Eng. They are good quality hitches but are straight drop down hitches which means you can't see the hook when backing up to a trailer.

I had this problem - the simple solution is to fix a mirror to the hand rail on the rear window = problem solved. Not expensive either £5 or £6 from eBay

I was wondering if they were or Eastern European as they look a bit untidyier than dromone.
Mines a drop down as the swing out has been done away with and it’s a pain. But hard to justify double the price.
Mine is tight and ok, but always in back of my mind it’ll break and something happens.

Will Dromone or Hand Engineering sell individual hitch parts?
