But he also wouldn't of had a new kv plough to use on the fendt,I'm with boss with this one,and to be honest whether boss is a kid or a pensioner I reckon he/she talks quite a bit of sense and quite often gets ragged for itThe point is he wouldn’t need to sell anymore kit as the fendt wont depreciate as much…
Must be extremely high spec,nh245 sidewinder delivered new this side Christmas was along way south of 130k,granted that is only probably 210 hpWe had price for top spec New Holland and Case both 240 hp both were North of 200k with a big warranty,
Why don’t they set up a co op and do it themselves???If thetr even making £15 an hour from them if theyv a few of them it soon adds up into a whole lot of money. Local dealer bought out another depot last year and has just bought 120 acres of land there. It hasnt went down well with alot of his customers thats struggling to to get the bills paid and saying the workshop bills have went up since the changeover from the previous owner of said second branch. Im not really a customer of his before the accusations start flying so dont shoot the messenger
Both were 240hp with boost to all most 300 hpserious, fastrack quote back, 180k, boosts to 240
she's not just dry she's barren!Fuel is alot cheaper, electric is a fair bit cheaper, shipping has came down, steel has came down, no real component shortage anymore so where is thier excuse. Theyr just keepin milkin the cow dry and its gonna come to a head eventually
Precisely that' s why you should buy it now when you can enjoy itYou are probably right but i'm on the doorstep of retiring and idon't want to be baffled by some of the bull***t going around,.What with the way the
cost of living has gone up, i want to make sure i'll have enough pension coming in in my 80's and walking on sticks. No point having a shiny tractor if
you are too stiff/inflexible to climb into it.
if you ever sell up and retire, would you rather have a 5 year old massey to sell or 5 year old fendt or john deerehow do you work that one out? as a % of total cost depreciation looks reasonable but when you actually look at £££££££ cost to change for another fendt is actually likely to be higher than other brands and your tieing up the extra 40k
You know the answer to that oneif you ever sell up and retire, would you rather have a 5 year old massey to sell or 5 year old fendt or john deere
Long lead times and a certain amount of just on time business means there is often a fair stock of new and a lot of SH - called at JD dealer last week...a lot of new tractors lined up and a lot of SH, plus trailers etc - they can't all be ordereda LOT of big ticket stuff here is pre ordered months in advance from the manufacturer when the client puts down a deposit with the dealer.
Very little “stock” is sitting in dealers yards just waiting to be bought . . .
still spending 100k to save 20kAt the end of the day if a man has a job to be done and a huge tax bill it wouldn’t make much sense struggling on trying to keep a knackered tractor running
Not at all. It depends on the position of the person buying the tractor. I’ve tried to run knackered gear and the repairs on the old gear have been costing more than the payments on something newer with less time laid up plus you get some tax savingstill spending 100k to save 20k
tax relief on repairs.....Not at all. It depends on the position of the person buying the tractor. I’ve tried to run knackered gear and the repairs on the old gear have been costing more than the payments on something newer with less time laid up plus you get some tax saving
You still have to bite the bullet and buy a new tractor even after you’ve spent the money on repairstax relief on repairs.....

thats a simplistic way of looking at it as if ive spent an extra 40k to buy the jd or fendt that 40k would still be in my savings account getting 5% interest, an investment possibly getting 10% or invested into other kit or livestock on the farm with in turn would have a value and returnif you ever sell up and retire, would you rather have a 5 year old massey to sell or 5 year old fendt or john deere
Christ almighty, some folks blow there money on Range Rovers that they rarely drive. If im spending 12 hours or more in a tractor in a day, I'm doing it in one that I enjoy.thats a simplistic way of looking at it as if ive spent an extra 40k to buy the jd or fendt that 40k would still be in my savings account getting 5% interest, an investment possibly getting 10% or invested into other kit or livestock on the farm with in turn would have a value and return
Tractor stock locally https://www.trmachinery.co.uk/for-sale/our-stock/new-machinery/new-tractorsMaybe UK is different to Australia
A fendt is not 40k more than a john Deere or a MF maybe 10 k more that a Ford and the likes spec for specthats a simplistic way of looking at it as if ive spent an extra 40k to buy the jd or fendt that 40k would still be in my savings account getting 5% interest, an investment possibly getting 10% or invested into other kit or livestock on the farm with in turn would have a value and return
