Tractor mounted boom sprayers

I'm currently enrolled to do some spraying courses but unlikely to happen anytime soon due to covid 19 but in the mean time
There is currently different types sprayers,
I mean the amount of tanks they have
I seen a local farmer with a main tank, a small tank to wash the main tank out if he wished to change to a different pesticide and a hand wash tank.
The tank to wash main tank clean if he wished to change pesticide I wonder is that a legal requirement
Some boom sprayers just have main tank and hand wash tank ! Is this enough to be covered under the new rules, are these legal.
I'm told a rinse tank isn't a legal requirement for tanks under 1000 litres
Just trying to get a broad idea of things

The rinse tank isn’t really about changing products. When you have finished spraying, you move the clean water from the rinse tank into the main tank, then spray that diluted rinsing onto where you have been spraying. What else are you going to do with the remains in the tank?
Don’t know if it’s a legal requirement?
There’s even another little tank if you like, the induction hopper, where you add the chems. That is certainly obligatory here in France.
