Tractor mounted trencher

Looking for opinions on the best 3 point trencher available. Have 150hp, ivt transmission. Want to control trencher with Trimble wm drain, to install 4-8 inch drainage pipe on heavy clay soils with patches of iron stone.
AFT 100 looks simple. Looks to bounce around in videos, so nervous of grade control.
Shelton CT150. Like how the chain angle doesn't change. Don't like how far back the chain is from the tractor.
DK trenchers DK612. Looks superb. Not sure I could lift it!
Have I missed any other options? Which one does the best job?

Just the same question i was going to ask. Did you get fixed up? And if so hows it going. Any other experiences out there of tractor mounted trenchers?

I have used a AFT 100 and was happy with the job it did, We dug a 1200mm deep trench for a high voltage power cable installation and used a Vario tractor to dig at around 50m / hr.
The civils company wanted £32 per meter dug..... for around 180m trench. About £5000 more than I did it for after hire of the machine and fuel cost etc.

You’ll be hard pushed to dig for an 8” pipe any decent depth with a tractor mounted one.
Trimble WM is great for installation of the drains and also can use farmworks to help you design the scheme

I’ve got a aft 100 but if i ever buy another it will be the Shelton much better build and won’t wear as much as cutting angle is steeper so won’t wear the boom out like the aft

Does anyone know whom I can hire an AFT 100 (no side elevator) from?. I need to put a few drains between rows of strawberries and Raspberries, over 1.2m deep, so that rules out the pedestrian and most of the utility trenchers.
