Tractor radio, mute?

I'm radio on my case was working fine yesterday but l think l pressed wrong button to turn it of by mistake, to day no sound at all coming out speakers, what's the problem??

Iv read the manual, pretty complicated for just a radio, as if the sound has been switched off, no crackling out speakers, nothing.

Have you checked the balance, front to rear speakers? speakers will only be plugged into 1 so need to change full up on what ever is plugged in.

You may have changed the source to something with no input i.e USB or CD etc.

You can change it from radio, aux or straight from your phone. One of the buttons on the left could possibly say source.

I have this problem with one of my radios sometimes, found it has a reset button. On mine you detach the front and there is a small white button, need a small nail to press it in, pop front back on and it works again.

You sure that the source isn't incorrect? You can set the source for usb (for example) and turn the knob fully to the right and get no sound.

I've 2 maxxums and occasionally catch the source button while turning the volume knob

Check the fuses.
Then take the radio out and check the wiring.
Then check that there is power getting to the fuse.
In my recent experience, you're often wise to cut your losses and get in an auto electrician. They do radios all the time.

On/off button is also the aux/and something else button (I've forgotten) on my tractor.
3 second push and hold for on / off just push/ tap for the others.

Sorry to hijack this thread. I have a massey 7480 with a Sony radio. I need to change the radio so was thinking of going for another Sony to make it easier to swap over. The new radio will be a dab. Does anyone know what the best aerial to get and also where to mount it? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi we do these dab antennas which just stick to the corner of the windscreen. We also do Hd dab radios, cheers
