Last new 200hp tractor I bought new in 2014 for £110k with all the bells and whistles including extended warranty. Quoted £195k for new equivalent with a slightly longer warranty. Frightening!
I want to try and run my tractors for circa £10/hr over their lives, obviously increasing 2nd hand prices have helped me achieve that.
In terms of running costs, usually about;
£2/hr servicing
£1.25/hr tyres (on flint)
sub £2/hr repairs
just had a £5k repair bill which didn’t taste very nice but less than £1/hr, better than the £30k/yr I would need to finance a new replacement.
If I wanted to buy new and change at 4-5000hrs it’s going to cost at least £25/hr
