I believe in the UK it was when Q cbs came in. Mid 70s.

The Aussies did have air con in rattle cabs from what I’m told.

We didn’t get it till 2001.

DEERE where doing it on the 40 series back in 1981, and it was more than likely fitted to the artic 8430 in 1975.
Before than I’ve no idea.

Our first tractor to have air con was my current 3050 dad bought second hand in 1993. The air con no longer works tho needs a condenser and evaporator, the air con in the other 2 doesn’t work either !.

Wasn't there a rudimentary version fitted to to the top of class combines or was that something different?

Was it a kind of white box like thing 2 foot x 2 foot ish 6 inch tall ?. Similar things where fitted to the likes of Track Marshall crawlers, but I don’t think it was “true” air con.

I dread to think how farmers off 60s coped in the weather cabs fitted back then plastic windows and metal, that would been greenhouse atmosphere
I remember baling straw in a 50 a field back in the 90s putting string on round bales so it was a slow job, no ac and it took some sticking on a hot day, the cab would get into the high 40,s.:inpain:
