Looking at one of these, they do a trailed 3m machine, how easy do they pull? We would have up to 250 wheeled HP.

There’s not enough clearance in them. My neighbour had one and preserved for a few years but in the end bought a subsoiler and a proforge short disc.

In the Heva the front tines pull lumps up that the small diameter discs can’t deal with so it passes them and gets caught on the rubber curtain and then the roller isn’t heavy enough to smash them. It’s a very poor design for any soils with clay content. Might be ok on light sand land.

Regarding HP, years ago I did a demo in NZ with a 4.5m sumo Trio, the farmer showed up with 180 HP case . believe it or not Case pulled the trio and I made a sale, however the farmer bought 250 HP to do the job. On difficult land in the UK you would need 500HP to do the same job.
