Trailer axles

Anyone know roughly what a set of axles (twin) costs for a 12t trailer. Doing a refurb and some parts are obsolete so wondering if my best option is to put new axles on and get bigger brakes in there at same time. It’s just 90mm wide shoes that’s in it just now which aren’t the best. Still 8stud wheels though as I have already put new tyres on.

New was what I’d been thinking, probably stick with oil brakes just be nicer to have bigger shoes tbh

Was about £1k per axle a year ago. I'd expect that's more like 1200 now

If you want to stay 8 stud these would do, but the track width might be too narrow?

Lanark sale today, 2x 8 stud axles unused went for under £300 pound. No springs or hangers just the axles themselves. I dropped out at about £250 but wished I had maybe went a bit more.
I have had axles and springs etc from the above mentioned autoandtrailer.com. Came with a technical drawing to get the fitting right.

I replaced a set of Granning 750A commercial axles on my Stewart bale trailer this time last year. They were £736 plus vat each. Bought via Stewart trailers direct.
