Trimble GFX 750 foot switch

Hello all, as above I would like a switch or button to enable autosteer rather than just keep pressing the button on the screen .

Anyway to put it to the intergrated sat nav existing button on a sidewinder joystick on a 2015 t7?

Failing that is the a foot switch we could plug in? Does it have to come from Trimble or are there cheaper ways of doing it?

momentary push button is all you need, easy enuff on armrests of most modern tractors with that trimble system but who makes a footswitch to do the same? dunno, you have to hold small button down for a split second & it does a quick double chirp to confirm.

What connection does it go into on the display? Then is it just a case of enabling it somehow with the display?

All it needs is a momentry switch of some sort to connect two pins together. I'm not sure now which they were, but it was on the ez-pilot harness. It was in the user manual, but can't seem to find the page with it on now. I folded up a foot switch from some sheet a while ago and just had a spare microswitch in it.
For wiring it up I reused the cables for the solalert that came with my FM-1000 and just had to move one of the pins in the plug to suit.

I do not know how the button on a sidewinder joystick is wired, but you do not want to connect the pins to any other power supply. You may however be able to use the button to send power to a relay and use that relay to make a connection between the pins.

Could one of you clever chaps possibly take a few pics to explain how to wire a switch up as in which pins etc far easier for me to visualise it that way ?
I have a switch for our 750 Trimble but could use some help

I'll struggle with pictures as it's buried under the console, but there's a harness breakout that comes to a connector with 2 wires. The pukka switch connects in there. I just have an £5 ebay switch - it has 3 terminals, just need to connect to the pair that are made when you push the switch (should be marked C & NO).

NB This is ez-pilot, auto-pilot/ez-steer will be a different story.

Just to be clear this is for an FM-1000 (FMX) with EZ-pilot. The trimble screens all seem to vary with wiring looms they use. I haven't seen any diagram showing just how the GFX connects to any steering system.

With the FMX, the the foot switch connects to spare 12 pin Deutsch socket on a short harness that goes between the screen and the main EZ-pilot harness. I used the superfluous sonalert cable (number 7 on the diagram) and just moved one of the pins in the plug. The plug is now set to pins 10 and 11. The polarity doesn't matter because the switch only connects ad disconnects these wires. Do not connect either of these directly to the tractor wiring. I cut of the siren and replaced with spade terminals with the foot switch is attached to. I have two sets of wiring looms and did the same to the other sonarlert and now use that to connect to switches on the drills to automatically log them going in and out of work.

Inside the foot switch is just a micro switch. In this pedal the switch is normally pressed until stepped on. The wires are connected to common and normally closed so it only makes the connection when I stepped on and breaks it again when release.

This just shows were I have the pedal normally, where 13 connects to 9 is hidden under the side console with the rest of the wiring loom.

The above only applies to EZ-Pilot with FMX/FM1000 and CFX750/FM750.
Any display with Autopilot ie using a nav controller connects into the green 12 pin plug on pins 2 and 7.
This also applies to the GFX750 with either EZ-Pilot Pro, Autopilot Motordrive or Autopilot, with or without a nav controller.
