Trimble RTK radio whip antenna

I’ve snapped my longer screw on antenna on my Case RTK radio, any suggestions on how to repair, I’ve tried putting a length of CB aerial into the screw bit as it’s just held in by a grub screw, it’s worse than the short one. Would rather not have to buy a replacement just yet!

Running a radio without an aerial will damage it long term so be very careful . Also most antenna (aerial) are tuned to a frequency range . It’s why Trimble generally supply a short one and a long one. Most just throw the short one in the workshop and use the long one as they think it’s better. It depends what frequency they are on.

Ah thanks, I too just thought the long one was for longer range :X3: it's fine on the short one apart from one block of land, which is the furtherest from the station. I'll let it alone and wait until someone who knows what they doing can sort it. Ta
