Triton direct seed drill

Location
Cheshire
last drilled winter wheat, left triton direct drill ww growing away fast right disk d drilled seed rotting in slot cut by disk rained nearly every day since drilling cannot get tractor on field to re-drill with triton must chop staw better as pic shows ,ether work in top 2 inch or chop fine, had 2 inch of fluffy poorly chopped straw on top ,it was the slot that drained the water away on the triton, never seen late sown winter wheat grow so fast.
The disc drilled looks like it has been cultivated?
Also very uneven drill depths on the pictures you show us, looks like some are to do with soil throw.

There is a farm near Wellingborough using a triton where you can go to see the drill working and presumably will be happy to show you their crops.
Phone Triton for the contact number. They were very accommodating when I called.

was straw raked twice to try and manage the thick straw cover and germinate the black grass but to dry to germinate

Nice that as a simple, entirely unrelated to the business, punter that you are keeping up so closely with their sales targets!
drill owners get texts from tritonn up dating them on development

I know someone who had a demo and the pictures I was sent are shockingly bad. Seed everywhere, absolute mess.
this sounds like poor setup of the drill a new operator or inexperienced operator the two main courses of this is the seed deflectors set at ground level deflecting seed every where or the Tyre pressure to high with wet clay sicking to them lifting the drill out. with low Tyre pressure the Tyre flexes and removes the clay buildup. if this fails lift the wheels up and run on depth control, must be set and checked for depth. this is why it looks like the drill is riding out. you must check depth in every field like all drills. not just come from one field and drill the next field with out looking at seed depth. i have put seed on top for 20 yards but checked the depth and reset. the opposite can happen you can put seed to deep if going into a lighter field.look at the job you are making every fill of the drill i do with both my drills
you can normally see off the tractor with the triton, the other one is a deep wheeling but the closing tines cover the seed by pushing soil in to the wheeling .

He probably didn't use the appropriate dose of AminoA tho
I have put no amino a on my late drilling as it is to wet to get back on the fields with the sprayer the still look fairly good will apply when able to travel eg: jan feb or march. except the last disk drilled which will be re drilled with the triton as soon as tractor will travel,

I suspect you are not RJH, but I've never seen a customer write so much like a sales agent before!
I am. it is my comments of drill settings and experiences with the drill to help others , i was told to put photos and comments good and bad, on the bad one is do's not like long straw over 3 inches, plus you can put seed down over 4 inches, eg beans. must check settings for each field and soil type

no just have a triton drill it go' extremely well on my soil except for long chopped straw which i use my power harrow drill the triton drilled winter wheat has between 50% to 200% more biomass than the power harrow drilled

Would the demo driver not know how to set the drill up? Seems a bit odd?
