Two stroke engine problems

I've a partner k650 saw, starts first pull runs for 10/15 seconds no problem then just cuts out. Then won't start until left for a bit. Seems to be plenty of fuel at the carb. I've put a new carb repair kit on it, no better. Any suggestions?

It's a saw we bought at a sale...... Yeah yeah...i can see the eyes rolling....it doesn't appear to have done a huge amount.... We have an older model and it's done a lot of work. I'm thinking the coil... but after sitting it always fires up first pull. I'll try feeding the fuel in via a bottle to eliminate that side of things. I've tried a new spark plug.... No change...ill try and look at the coil and look in at the cylinder after that. Thanks for the help.....

Always start with the easiest things...

It starts which means;
it has compression.
It's getting fuel
The coil/spark plug are OK (but possibly not perfect)

But it dies...

Replace all fuel lines, filter and primer bulb (if it has one)
Check/reset carb needle settings.
Change spark plug.

Try running saw again.

My gut is knackered fuel lines collapsing under suction starving the engine.

Had the same with my Chinese saw, bought it new in 2009 run atreat for a couple of years then like yours it would cut out after a short run.
put new diagram in carb new plug new fuel filters, the spark was fine but still the same .
Was in Halfords and saw a bottle of 2 stroke garden engine oil bought it and mixed it at 50.1 the saw says 25.1. Started it up used a full tank of fuel sawing logs.
Had it over 10 years now still use Halfords oil starts and runs with no problems at all, it's only used for cutting firewood though.

It could be a pin hole in a fuel pipe, or a bit of dirt around the end of the needle valve, coil will normally go 5 mins before it starts to play up, I thought you said 15 mins not seconds ?

I hope it is...nice easy fix. I might whip the one off the other older saw and see that way....think they're only 25/30 quid
Theres two models of coil ,with or with out limiter
