Looking at putting a new set of tyres on my 4wd 956, she is currently on 12.4 x 28 fronts and 16.9 x 38 rears, ideally I would like to go up a size any recommendations as to what size I can put on without messing up the ratios for the 4wd?

If you want to keep the same height, 480/70r38 and 360/70r28.
If you want to go taller and wider, 18.4r38 and 13.6r28 or 520/70r38 and 380/70r28.
I wouldn't go for 65 series tyres, they need wider rims to get the full benefit of them.

As above I reckon most cost effective would be 18.4 and 13.6s like most 1056s had on from new, i'm not sure some of the wider options would go on the rims that well.

Thanks for that, yes I'd like to go taller and wider so will look at your second option.

I’m not going to be much help but I’ve seen them on 600x65r38 they were Michelin xm108s looked like it would walk on water was only 2wd though. But brilliant rolling tractor. Edit probably won’t fit your rims though
