Unauthorised spy camera

I’ve just found a spy camera coupled to a solar paneI. It’s fastened to a fence post looking out from the side of a wood , towards some rabbit holes which a badger has recently moved into. I just wondered what is the legality of this, it’s all our own property and no one has asked permission.
It’s bothering me, not knowing who has put it there, and whether there are any more. Even Winston Smith was able to go into the woods to get away from Big Brother !

I've been asked a couple of times before, someone wanted to do a time lapse of a hedge growing over a year and another person was absolutely adamant there is a "big cat" roaming the area (I think too much drink is involved in that one :cry:), that's fine, but I think if I found an unauthorised camera, depending on what it was looking at, it would have an unfortunate accident involving an impact of some kind !!!

Remove it with stealth. Take it apart. If it records to a chip, you have two choices - wait until the owner comes to get it and best them to death, or replace any images on the chip with an interesting selection of pornography. If it sends pics via a SIM, then with luck you can find details of the owners email or phone. If so, I suggest creating them an interesting OnlyFans page.

I found a wildlife camera pointing at a badger set whilst mowing this year, when I turned it on to see if there was anything on it the card was corrupt so use to anyone, no one has applied to get the camera back though
