Underground tanks

Need to install a new underground tank to collect the waste water and effluent from a new calf shed. It will be under the concrete and have several drains running into it. Would people recommend, a plastic or concrete tank? It will be driven over with the forklift etc.

If it's going to be driven over then I'd go for concrete.
We got our reception tank for our slurry store from this firm, it was 5000 gallons but they have bigger or smaller sizes depending on what you need. Can also cast holes in them for pipes to fit into.

I buried an onion shaped one - without all the sewage treatment gubbins, plenty of concrete over the bulb to stop things falling in it. It has been in a well trafficed area of the yard for plus of 20 years, still fine.

Don't forget to fill it with water before you backfill the hole.

Plastic or a fibre glass type tank?
