do you have a recommendation if I were to go for wooden posts for an electric fence?

Depending were abouts in cheshire you are Witter farm supplies or Chelford farm supplies are both very competitive for fencing gear. I reckon temporary fencing stakes would be the better option since they are much easier, quicker, cheaper to put up and last longer than crappy wooden posts plus you can easily move them around or split up into smaller paddocks when needed
