Apparently the union approved the JD wage increase and the workers normally go with the union decision, but not this time. Now we’re heading into winter I fear it won’t be long before the discontent spreads across the atlantic.maybe the workers are having employer problems ?
Now there’s a thought
From what I read it was a 5% increase over 5 years ($700 a year) whilst the ceo has had a 160% increase ($16m) in 1 year due to 'guiding the company through covid'. Also there was something about cutting medical insurance for wage employees and their families.Apparently the union approved the JD wage increase and the workers normally go with the union decision, but not this time. Jd have put salaried staff ( engineers/office based staff) to work on the production lines during the strike to keep stuff moving. Apparently it isn't going very well.....fûckem, I’d go on strike myself if I worked there
