The distribution assignment from your grid provider belongs to the applicant!
If you sign the permission to apply then you are not the applicant!
If the grid distribution is assigned then you don't have to agree to work with them in the loosest sense of the words, but you will have to work them if you want to use the grid assignment that they would then control for your land.
Run for the hills.

I was thinking more down lines of picking a known firm to deal with and take the per Ac coin as opposed to ' black or red it ' but with talk of gov being against land solar who knows now !For those with deep pockets, the patients of a saint, no regard for hair loss and the time, then crack on.
For the rest of us, find a company with a good reputation and give them a little trust.
We all get loads of letters like this, even door stop calls, had a few this month.
I can vouch for OPED, if they send you a letter don’t bin it, it’s worth some consideration.
