Used clean hydraulic oil

Changing hydraulic oil , in a digger or tele handler ,or hedgecutter ,
Need to flush an old digger out as its had engine oil put in and its very slow ,.
Dont really want to put new oil in ,

I don’t think engine oil will do any harm, it is thicker but should be ok when it’s warm I personally would leave it in & I’d be surprised if replacing it would make any significant improvement to speed.

I dropped it out , it resembled beeeasting for a fresh calved heifer , took filter out and it looked like
cleaned inner filter ,and emptied rams best i could ,and flushed it round with a couple of gallon at a time ,
then put new filter in and filled it up , its transformed it , then had return pipe blow of back of spool so got another flush out ,before jumped off seat and got stopper pulled out no have bit of baler band ,tied to it , ,then went for a play christmas eve to neighbours , ,on way back thought i would call off and dig little trench through ditch bank in a wet hole so did not have as much to dig by hand ,got bogged backing up to it , ,ring wife ,to come with loader and chain to pull me out , , then trundled back in dark down lane ,good job no traffic ,

The only difference I can think of is engine oil will collect any moisture in the system and suspend it within the oil making it thick & milky but moisture will separate out of hydraulic oil.
