Using an old redundant oil tank for water

I have an old.2500l oil tank that certas didn't want to fill a while back. It's been mostly drained of oil but not cleaned out completely.
Wondered if it might.make a small water bowser for filling the sprayer, would any residue affect anything in particular?

Certas are absolute o-less counts for that. They really should be boycotted because everyone will be made worse off by them eventually.
I've used several old oil tanks for rain water harvesting with no problems. I did spray the inside with a de-greaser and gave them a good rinse first.
I can't imagine any possible effect on the spray.

I get on well with our certas drivers. Funnily enough we had a delivery this morning and driver rang to say the tank was dripping diesel but he knew we were keen for it and we would resolve the issue asap.

If Certas found out, the driver would be fired.
There is nothing wrong with their drivers.
