Ventilated tin cladding

Has anyone got much experience of using this? I know it’s very popular but I see it lying rotted to sh!te on sheds around the country that don’t seem very old. I’m within 3 miles of the sea and just can’t see it lasting. At the moment I’m going with space boarding on my new livestock shed as Yorkshire boarding is just so expensive. The shed design is such that any of the three would provide sufficient ventilation. Opinions appreciated!

in the side of prevailing wind/rain Yorkshire boarding let the rain in, I haver replaced it with vent air sheeting ~ really great job, then the side of the cubicle shed had corrugated sheeting, and terrible ventilation, that was replaced with vent air sheeting and again did a great job, much improved the ventilation without letting in any rain.

got vent air sheeting on a 15 year old shed, plasti-coated tin still in virtually perfect condition, i'm 4 miles from sea. biggest problem with it is it clogs up with straw dust from the blower, need to pressure wash it every couple of years. also I have suckler calves in one side of shed and with hindsight it would have been better with Yorkshire boarding, doesn't quite supply enough ventilation for them imo, but for older cattle it would be perfectly fine

I want livestock in the shed in the spring so don’t want to huffy or dark. I’ve got some gale breaker on our handling yards but definitely wouldn’t want that for grain
I have opted for double skinned yorkshire boarding in my most recent livestock shed. It might be an idea for your grain shed, it doesn't let any rain in at all. You'd need good roof lights anyway for sunlight to get in. My brother in law has used vented tin in a calf house and has found issues with rain blowing in at times.
