"Verified"

Ahh yes I see the trade under the name, verified is over on the right. Maybe it means they've been checked out and are legit.:)
Your on a phone then? Shows like this on 'puter.

No idea sorry.
Looks like someone has been box ticking, there is a 'permission' in the Admin area to verify someone as a company rep. So can only think someone is now adding this to commercial members.

It's something we have been playing with yesterday for commercial members and members that use a company name as a TFF username to verify they are who they say they are - similar to the blue tick that twitter gives to “official” company or celeb accounts

We have had people try to sign up with usernames like xxx from syngenta or @ John Deere etc that when checked are not from those companies and this is something we have wanted to put in place for a while to try and avoid such miss representations

All I can think of at the moment is anyone seeing "verified" against my post will think I'm trying to flog them something rather than making a general comment or trying to help. :(

I think your signature makes it quite clear you sell stuff!

But more the point of this is to let people know when they do buy things from forum members, that those members with a "tick" (in twitter terms) next to them are known. We have had some members buy things and been stung in the past. Its easy to assume for those who are on here regularly, that we all know each other, but we now have 260,000 readers a month and we need to help guide everyone and a blue "tick" is common used method on social media. I agree, the word verified is a bit rubbish, we will work on that. Not sure if we can just include a tick instead - we will look into it.
