Very strange times.

How strange it is with this virus stuff, last night out in the lambing shed, l heard a noise, it was an airplane, we stay near the flyte path for Edinburgh and there are no planes in the sky at all, l said to my wife l wonder where and who was on that one plane at 10 o'clock last night. Strange time indeed. But store cattle and sheep + grit ewes at Stirling tomorrow.

There was 1 aeroplane went over here, mid afternoon. Normal flight path and looked like a commercial flight.

Another went over tonight about 6:45. Definitely NOT on the normal flight path - flying West-East across Dumfries & Galloway. I couldn't tell what it was, but it was leaving huge vapour trails... I saw it coming a long, long way off (clear skies) over the hills towards Stewartry and by the time it was over me, it had climbed to a hell of a height and had virtually disappeared to the naked eye.... very strange

No thanks.

I live below the flight path of every English flight which goes to Glasgow or the USA - they all head to the marker in the Solway Firth (where the 2 planes in the top left of England are in your pic), before turning and heading to Prestwick air control before leaving UK across the Atlantic

A few weeks back on a Friday morning myself and the young lad that works for me went out to lift a few turnips the hard way just to keep some drawn fat lambs ticking over until sale the following Tuesday. Anyway it was a clear sky and we counted at least10 big jets all from Germany heading to USA (could see them on flight radar24)flying in a 50mile wide corridor above us. Roll on this Friday and at the same sort of time I looked up after hearing a big jet. Clear sky again. 1 747 heading from Frankfurt to Seattle I kept an eye out for his buddies but none of the fleet that passed over previous were up there.

I wonder how long this will go on and I wonder how many of those big jets will never fly again, pretty sure there already were plans to pension off a lot of 747/A380s this might just hasten that.

I was just commenting earlier, I wonder what things will never be the same again. Shops that find 12 weeks closed means that the customer base gets used to shopping online and decide never to open high street stores again for 1.

I’ve been looking at fight radar a bit lately. Seems loads of private planes about. Probably always there but just didn’t show because of the rest of them. I didn’t hear the one that goes from Birmingham to UAE every Sunday at 10.30pm in bed last night. We get a lot of Birmingham flights over us here in West Suffolk.
