We are due a Johnes test and we could also do with doing some pelvis measuring on some heifers. Father is 76, mother is 74 and my other half is high risk as she get the flu jab because of her asthma.

Should I just not bother with doing these jobs? The world won’t end if we don’t do them...

Only you can answer that.
I hope tbt doesnt get delayed unless its for 12 mths ,and i will carry on using the vet as normal. You could quite as easy catch it from your post or shopping items imo

Government advice is that travel or a visit isn't essential then don't do it, think you've answered your own question

Vet got a cold between test and read with us the other day. I was oddly satisfied with the amount of gank coming out of her nose when she showed me!

im not sure what would have happened should she not be able to do the read. My understanding is the same vet has to read that did the test.

Our vets posted this on Facebook yesterday afternoon. We have an appointment with them for our herd health plan tomorrow

Tried to order to Alymycin spray yesterday and because the Vets have not been for to us for over a year we have to have a vet visit before we can treat any more lame sheep :banghead:

That's the sort of situation where, surely, common sense should 'kick in'.

Unfortunately modern day 'jobsworths' don't appear to have any

That rule has been in for years.

If the vets haven't been on farm in the last 12 months and seen the stock under their care but issue meds for them they will be struck off.

At this current time I assume that rule hasn't been suspended I would guess.

MediVet sent a message to my friend saying that if they need to take an animal to the practice ,to stay in the vehicle and they will collect from the car park ,,they dont want the owners in the building
