Vicon Geospread variable rate

Hi
Having trouble with our Vicon Geospread
Bought the variable rate licence and put it into box
Box now says variable rate is activated, yet when i go to the field screen the icon is not there

Reckon i should see a screen like this

Any ideas please
Dealer is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard

I have loaded the task data and the files are there, but the maps arn`t coloured in when I open a task

You start it a different way from a normal field from memory but it's been a while since I've done any variable rate with mine

Have you checked the box in the menu for the variable rate? Only experience I have is using it though isobus on a jd screen and you had to tick a box to enable it

Looking at your picture the variable rate arrow is missing

I'm buggered if I can remember how to start a new variable rate job if I was sitting in front of it I could do it no bother

It’s difficult to remember as I’ve not done any since last year but you don’t start the task the same as usual, you have to select the file/field from the imported tasks section.
As said it’s difficult when you’re not in front of the screen!
Did it import the files ok?
You should get the little lightning symbol when your working from a rate file.

This may help, instead of going to “start new task” you go to “select task” and your rate file should appear in the drop down menu

That's it it's the bottom button with the clipboard on the second screen I knew there was something different. I usually dobit wring the first time every year and sit there wondering what I've done wrong

Yes I am trying to start task from the select a task button
Not getting the lightning bolt or the graph, do you get the lightning bolt all the time once licence key has been activated?

You only get the lightning bolt while running a prescription file if I remember right.

Just found a pic, so it definitely only appears while running vr file.

Yes you have to Import the Vari-Rate files from a USB Stick & your Agronomist or his team be it SOYL/SOILQUEST or whoever would create these Maps from
Sampled areas in each field? Have you done this?
Then as another said you import the tasks via USB & select an imported or paused task to bring them up

Does that make sence?

Did it say that the task data was loaded successfully?
The files need to be in iso-xml format and the folder named “TASK DATA”
It won’t recognise shp files

Finally got sorted today
spoke to Les Cook at Kv
Sent him a copy of the Task Data file over and he tried it in his simulator
Didn`t work
So got onto agronomist who eventually turned up with his laptop, and after a bit of head scratching found that a box wasn`t ticked somewhere
So all working good now
Will be on spreading if the weather is going to be good for next few days

Les is local to me and very helpful and knowledgeable on spreaders .
Pleased you got sorted I've had all sorts of niggles over the years from maps not loaded to thinking it's in the wrong field etc but as long as the maps are correct the spreader usually works fine .
