Wales Farm Business Grants....

Are these the grants people use to build chicken sheds at a 40% discount? If so they are immoral.

No they were the Sustainable production grants, up to £1m projects at 40%, I think ne tranche only had £6m available, a great deal of which went to poultry units.

Any business that had a grant as above is ineligible for this small grants scheme

What a very well thought out scheme. Compulsory attendance at 'enlightening' meetings, which start in April. It's a damned good job Welsh farmers have nowt else to do in April.

Farmers don't matter?

FC and its speakers will now be able to say that they have packed out attendance at their meetings(y)...
so we need more

Everybody I talk to has planned what they're going to buy under this scheme. I don't think the budget will stretch that far.

Can't put a " like" to that(n)
£40m divided over what 15,000 SAF applicants = £2600 each in grant

May well be true:poop:

I don't intend buying anything on it at the moment, so I'll be helping you all.:) I was thinking of getting a new EID weigher, etc, but decided it was cheaper to get the bars etc from @Allied Weighing (y) to convert my existing CombiClamp, than pay the 60% of a shiny new thing.
I could do with a panel reader, if anyone wants to bulk up their grant application though.

I tried to register for Newtown earlier today and couldn't find my FC no. Having looked into it, I discovered if you were registered pre 2015, you needed to have re registered. Did that and found the form has to be approved by a human, who is almost certainly indundated, as I've heard nothing yet and meeting is now full. Bollix.
