Looking for contacts in Equatorial Africa; Asia, or the Arabian peninsular for either short-term work placement or basic agricultural job.

I am not looking for this week, but trying to get some contacts or perhaps a month or two each winter as a prelude for something more serious further down the line.

Looking for the more exotic - palm oil, roses, veg, poultry. Note I have no experience in any of those. But you are only young once.

Try https://www.workaway.info/ and https://www.helpx.net/ There are probably others.

I've had a visitor staying for a week to help with breaking some of my young ponies. She has an eventing yard back home in New Zealand. My first experience of this and I will definitely do it again.

Basically, the 'guest' works a few hours a day in return for board and lodgings. As a host, I got a very varied selection of applicants and was able to pick exactly the type of specialist help I wanted. Altogether a worthwhile and interesting experience. Highly recommended.

Sounds good. I'd be fine doing a month for board and lodging provided I was being taught something new. Month needed due to flight cost.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
