I liked his oratory and his government did some interesting things. But he always seemed to be flailing between scandal after scandal without a clear, personal vision for the country.

People will point to Covid as not giving him a fair crack, but he was just the same when Mayor of London. Wasting millions on vanity projects (Garden Bridge), only getting projects completed that his predecessors started (bike hire and superhighways) and too busy getting up to mischief (Jennifer Arcuri).

On balance, yes, just; but when considering that the alternative was Jeremy Corbyn, very much so.

Anyway, it won't be the 'forum's' opinion, just the even fewer who can be arsed to comment among the few who look at this section. (y)

You may not realise, but you don't always have to comment in order to give your opinion. That's the beauty of this post being a poll.

He signed off the minutiae of the trade deal with Australia, on a piece of paper in the loo, after lamping a couple of bottles of Sauvignon Blanc.
He has proved himself over and over again, to be a brazen liar, an embarrassing philanderer, a political incompetent and a national embarrassment.
Having said all that, he was the best man Britain could find to do the job of PM, at such a pivotal point in the history of the country. At least that‘s what @Danllan says, and you guys know that such a stamp of approval can be taken to the bank.
What does all that say about the state and future of the country?

Have you got anything good to say about anyone or anything British?

On balance - a slight + in my book due to the fact that he listened to the right experts re: the covid vaccine. Which meant that people in th UK were being
vaccinated whilst the EU were still some distance from being in the same position. A bigger + if he had followed the advice given by , a minority who were shouted
down, to follow Sweden's example with Lockdown rules. Apart from that he was just another Oxford PPE graduate just like Cameron and Truss.

Best prime minister ever for entertainment value. Every day some new mess in the press and Boris blustering about it. I really miss him Sunak is boring as were all other prime ministers
All politicians are corrupt and have a tendency to have affairs but most hide it and put up this boring sanctimonious front. At least Boris just did it and didn't give a hoot.
I don't expect anything from politicians. At least with Boris you got entertainment. Would definitely get my vote. As would John Profumo if he were alive for much the same reasons as Boris

Does anybody really think Boris came up with all the stupid covid rules?
Or could it have been the likes of the leftie to55ers who flanked him daily on his addresses to the nation and talked a load of absolute bullocks?
One doesn’t have to be very clever to realise he was being led by EXPERTS.

You took some time to get the old vitriol working, you slowing in your old age, or just distracted by the latest rift in that Shangri-La of freedom and democracy over in Europe? In fairness, us Brits must admit that we have to bow to you fellows from the ROI when it comes to knowing about dodgy PMs, so I guess we'll just have to assume that you have our best interests at heart and are writing with good will. Thanks! :)
