Self insure for those things. Cancel and put the 7.50 in a piggy bank - literally. New washing machine £250, so after three years have a replacement fund. These little insurances are bonkers. I speak from experience as I just cancelled direct debit for similar amount to yours for freezer insurance that slipped in when a new freezer was bought a few months ago - am irritated have remitted nearly £100 in just over a year. Freezer is absolutely fine and a replacement not that much more expensive.

Best wishes,

Are you talking about a large industrial washing machine, or a small domestic unit?
If the latter, usually the extended warranties on parts are included sono insurance is required as the labour is usually capped fee.

I was going to say if you are using a domestic washing machine for anything but your own laundry you need a commercial machine and these are expensive so you need a warranty.

eu, 2 yr warrantee on lec goods, will it continue after Brexit ? The replacement of these domestic appliances is as cheap as the insurance you could pay. When we look to buy a replacement appliance, we use either of 2 local shops, brilliant service, mrs bought a new fridge, £197, at 2.00, delivered and plugged in (plug change) by 5.00. Would have taken the old 1 for £10, but we had a use. Main stream, £25 for removal, support your local shops, and get a better deal !!!!

We used t have washing machine insurance , as the-machine gets older insurance goes up, then at 6 years guy comes out tells you he needs parts. returns fortnight later with wrong bit. Month later wife tells you a divirce is imminent if new machine is not in house by next day.
go to EO and find new machine is half what you have paid out over the years.
put old machine on Ebay as scrap, sells for £30 to a little Polish guy who when he picks it up, tells you he makes good living, as repair is £5 and takes 20 minutes when you know how. Knocks them out for £75 with 1 years warrantee which he covers himself.

Did buy a semi industrial Swedish machine once, had ten year waranttee all parts and labour, cant go wrong I thought, but it would break down 2 or 3 times a year and wife was totally peed off after 3 years of that one ?

Just replaced my dishwasher last month - £200 from Argos. Old one was in house when I bought it and had been there since 1985, according to the label on the back. Repair chap had no idea how to repair, as he never sees anything that old. I don't expect the new one to last as long, but if I get five years that will be 11p/day and I'll be happy enough.
