Water pump for a grazing platform

We are in the process of installing a new water system for our grazing platform. We currently milk 250, I have installed 600m of 50mm mdpe with 2 1000m 32mm rings coming off this. Does anyone have any recommendations for pump size/spec/suppliers? I have had one quote from a local company for a double variable speed booster set which has come in at 6k, a lot more than I was expecting and I've a sneaking suspicion it's far too much pump for what we need. TIA

Speak to Mark .

He will be chuffed to hear what pipework you have in place already! Will make the pumping a lot easier.
Go for a big pressure set - less of pump turning on/off.

These are pretty handy pumps we replaced a multistage pump with one, we are mainly 32mm pipe and it keeps up with a similar number of cows no bother.

Variable speed constant pressure pump , when water flows pump speeds up and as flow slows pump slows to a stop .theee can be set at a certain pressue
Pretty sure there’s a FETF grant for this as well. The variable speed controller part, not the pump.

Makes me very appreciative of my spring fed gravity system

If I had to start from scratch I'd pump from well/bore to storage tank at highest point on farm and let gravity do the rest

Our farm is nearly flat, perhaps we should put one of these in

The expression "grazing platform" is a new one on me but then, I sold my dairy herd 40 years ago come October.
Well you wouldn’t be able to keep up now, you need the lingo to make money. Having grazing fields near the farm is no good you need a grazing platform. You can’t just move the electric fence for the cows, you need cell grazing and mob stocking. You can’t just fold them on the kale and long grass, you need brassicas and deferred grazing.
