Low pressure dominates the weather over the British Isles on Saturday. There will be an occluded front through southern Scotland and Northern Ireland giving cloud and outbreaks of rain here. Most of the rain in southern Scotland.
A further front approaching southern England bringing some outbreaks of rain here too. For the rest of England and Wales the day will be one of broken cloud and bright spells, although scattered heavy showers developing.
Some heavy showers in southern Ireland, rain in the northern half of the island of Ireland.
Drier in central and northern Scotland, a few showers in the far north of Scotland. Fair for central Scotland with sunny spells.
inds NE 18-25kt (F5-F6) in the far north of Scotland, E 12-15kt (F4-F5) for the rest of Scotland, variable 10-12kt (F3-F4) for the rest of England, Wales and Ireland.

SUNDAY

Low pressure in the North Sea to the east of Scotland on Saturday. A front passes south through Scotland, northern England and the Midlands. Some rain in central and eastern Scotland. A few showers in northern Scotland.
A band of showers passing east through northern England, Wales and the Midlands, some of the showers heavy and thundery.
Some rain and showers along southern coasts of England and through East Anglia and the southeast.
Heavier showers for northern parts of Ireland but drier and brighter to the south.
Winds S-SW 12-15kt (F4) in the south, NW 12-15kt (F4) in western areas, N-NE 20-25kt (F5-F6) in northern Scotland.
