What can we all agree on...?

Any number of threads on here reveal how much we disagree on whatever subject is under discussion. This makes me wonder if there is anything we all agree on, hopefully there are many.

Clearly it won't be likely to be regarding religious things, clearly it won't be regarding Brexit or the EU, and immigration is a non-starter; yet many of us on different 'sides' in those discussions are united on the subject of Ukraine, and vice versa.

Are there some significant things / policies which simply aren't controversial and aren't divisive...? I'll offer some that I think are and welcome suggestions of more which may fit the bill. It will be interesting to see how many we can come up with.

1) There should be a general freedom of speech and expression;

2) There should be democratic government;

3) There should be the rule of law;

4) There should be decent roads.

Note to self: be prepared for someone to disagree with the idea of this sort of thread... :banghead:
A democratic government would be nice.
People could hold votes to leave the UK.
Like in NI say?

The OP asks what we can all agree on and then goes on to write about consensus.
Are these two words precise synonyms ?
If not then the question needs clarification.

There is a legal mechanism for that.

Out of interest, if there is a vote and if it goes to Irish reunification... do you think the people who don't want to be 'Irish' should leave, or just stay there and be British there, or start an armed struggle because they don't like the majority decision, or what?

I think that would be up to them.
Given that we have peace and any vote would be democratic I don't think armed struggle is likely.

Since I'm not able to vote there I don't really have an opinion at the moment.
Come off it... you've no vote in Ukraine or Russia, but you have opinions about that. I guess you have no vote in Hungary or Slovakia, but I think it highly improbable that you have no opinions about what's happening in these countries. I don't think you have a vote in the US, but I know you have opinions about happens there, because I have read them, and agree with most.

If you don't want to say, fine, say so; but to claim no opinion on such a spurious basis as not having a vote in a given country is a cop out.
