Had a geared oil pump leaking on a machine.

Genuine replacement >£1000, aftermarket from hyd engineer £400…… but none of the numbers on pump cross reference with anything, no makers mark, so hyd engineer measured up and made a guess. Then had a thought and dismantled pump to measure gears and non standard size, so far smaller cc than external dimensions of pump suggest. Can still get one correct cc for about £400

Getting older and grumpier, but pisses me off the palaver involved now in not getting your leg lifted by large corps.

People with normal jobs that moan they need a day off from there 36 hours they have to work out of the 168 hours in the week. Then they have a day off and moan that they won’t spend there day off doing things!
These type of people also have a day off for there birthday, and have a birthday week, and also claim they are bored, your not bored just a lazy unmotivated comfort pig

Lucky you have a keen enough hyd engineer to investigate further and not just push the wrong part onto you...

Some did feck all for 18 months thru the covid, then needed a holiday at the end of it.

The same people who call in to the radio saying that they are off on a "well deserved" holiday.

Drivers on a wet dark morning who drive so close to me that all I can see are two headlights in rear view mirror and before you all say its because I'm ancient and dawdle..... 70 on dual carriageway in overtaking Lane and they still do it. On normal road I can dive onto a lay-by and get rid of the idiots but on a motorway it's scary

Out of curiosity, when did you last check your speedometer calibration ? I do mine most long journeys and can be quite surprised how far out it is - up to 10% on occasion. Easy enough to do with a smartphone app and cruise control.

When did anyone! But in all honesty, what happened to minimum stopping distance? No way would these drivers be able to stop if I suddenly did
