Bloody rent on my house not in my account. Tenant pays on the 16th so where is it? Call the lettings agency (who take £55 a month off me for sweet FA). Oh, well the 16th fell on a Saturday this month so it was in our account on the 18th and we need to hang on to it for five working days so it will be in your account next Wednesday the 27th.
First time I've heard of this five working (well, seven working) days crap. Almost never see an invoice from them, they've visited the property exactly once in two and a half years.
Sure, the money will be in my account on the 27th, but it's the last time it's ever coming via your account.

Big spider sat on the top of my head just as I was getting to sleep last night. That was the end of sleeping, I spent the rest of the night staring wild eyed round the bedroom in case it came back. It did - about 1.30 am. Was removed outside, I then went to sleep. For an hour before I got up to go to work! I'll be snoozing this morning before afternoon milking!

Vague interview questions that have nothing to do with the job but are apparently designed to help the interviewers get to know the interviewee. Ask questions relating to the job and choose the best person for the job, not the person with the greatest ability to talk :poop:

Ah, now, there does seem to be method in the madness, you have to learn to speak& understand :poop: to listen to some of the :poop: some of them speak.

Talking to a customer today about farming and contracting etc, and realising that everything is so far behind the huge prices for new tackle that rates will never catch up and I will spend the rest of my life mending my old Junkers

Same here. I spend more and more time refurbishing and reconditioning. It's also getting more difficult to find machine shops that can refurbish although they are still out there. A lot of agents and dealers can't be bothered to go the extra mile to help with a reconditioning job and would rather sell a new machine which sadly, is completely unjustifiable by the real economics of the job.

Good thing I quite enjoy reconditioning old stuff. My old lathe, even though it's a bit sloppy, has paid me back many times over. The internet is also a godsend for finding parts and components and specialist machining services.
