Standing in a large queue at the dentists reception with people in front that don’t know their mobile number.
And same people when asked
Any change of address ??
Reply was I don’t know [emoji849]

To be fair I don’t know my mobile number only our landline. I hardly phone anyone on the mobile and never ring myself, it’s only people like the dentist obsessed with knowing you’re mobile as well as your landline number. If someone really needs my number they tell me their number and I ring it so they can get my number.

Get pee'd off with delivery firms that need a mobile number before they will deliver. If they insist, I will give them mine( after I look it up), but my phone is usually switched off as there is no reception, as they will find when near the house they use their phone to ring our landline.

I'm the opposite, i'd rather they call me, than miss a delivery, but then i don't have signal trouble often and am not always on farm

My phone is an old one not got hands free and as driving most of the time I don’t answer it then and if it’s a number I don’t know I don’t answer it as it is usually some claim thing or similar.

Wasting time being on holiday. Very aggravating and puts me in a bad mood when there is plenty to do at home. I am not a good spectator or tourist. I like to be doing things and getting on, not gormerising as my old neighbour would have said. I think half the population now just spends time looking at things, studying things, photographing things or commenting on things not getting on with something.

I just want to be back on my beet harvester out in the middle of nowhere.

Here you go. You sound like you're ready for it.

Yet another " shed " in the neighbourhood is to be turned into a holiday cottage. Another 4 years of dodging builders vans / Jewsons lorries / extra traffic. :(
I can't remember a time when there hasn't been a building project on the go.
Out of 20 properties, only 5 are used by full time residents.

As an aside, this latest ' project ' measures 10 x 15 '. Single story. Going to need a lot of extensions to make it habitable.......:scratchhead:

Lots round here as well. Nothing to do though except walk, eat and drink which seems about extent of most people’s aspirations nowadays.

Nothing is easy on holiday. Buses, taxis, waiting, expense, waiting being in close proximity to the general public, more expense, overheated hotels.

If I had my way, I’d never go on another holiday again, ever.

It’s too good at home.(y)
I find holidays a doddle. It's a shame I rarely go on them - I have had only three proper ones (ie. not long weekend booze-ups) in the last 20 years!

How difficult can it be to drink Armagnac hot chocolate mid-piste in Switzerland, drink Chateauxneuf-du-Pape par la mer in Deauville or drink Rossinis in Sorrento?

I had a girlfriend once, she lasted quite a long time as her number ended with the number of a john deere tractor, so easy to remember.
A bit off topic but an ex of mine had the same home number as mine but with a different area code, the 0789 etc. This was before they shoved an extra 1 in the number. Could get confusing phoning back home for a lift home when attacked by alcohol
