Got a phone call out of the blue this evening to say my D-max was ready after a 28 day wait for an A.B.S sensor. Got the bill and there were two M.O.T bills because the stupid foxturds had MOT'd it before starting the booked in work. Drove the car from the Inverurie garage it was in to head the 17 miles home and lo and fricken behold 5 miles up the road when I first applied the brakes with any vigour the A.B.S light came back on! To say I was incandescent with rage was an understatement. It is going back in tomorrow, it will be a fun conversation.

battered by storm “whatever it’s called”, trees down, damage to buildings, get home, power cut, oh well, not massively fussed, wash hands, notice water coming up in shower plug, drains backed up. Hour with the rods, frozen, soaked, wife too, she’s holding the light. Get in and all the candles are out, wax all over the floors, including far too much on the cat 😳. 2 sheepish boys both blaming each other for this bizarre protest at tea being delayed.

Can you explain to a bumpkin like me on how all these trees are supposed to be taking up all this Carbon Dioxide now that they're not exactly very green looking now after the storm and the season being autumn.
Even the most clueless of Green Eejits must have noticed that many of the indigenous trees of this country don't do a lot of growing at this time of year so what's to do with the CO2 that has surely increased now they've all cranked their heating thermostats up to tropical levels?
Hmm, I wonder if those nasty fields of combinable crops that farmers insist on growing might not be doing a bit for the environment as they're still growing and photosynthesising. There's not many other bits of green in the countryside apart from the bloody plastic AstroTurf on the Five a Side football playgrounds.

Been unfit since October
Rolled my ankle the first week in October, still can’t run on it and have to start physio on it
Got an infected cut on my thumb that spread to any wound on my body turned infected and had to dress them in iodine for 2 weeks, only just got back to been able to use my thumb
Now I’ve got a cold and sickness!
It could be worse but I’m getting fat and want to ride my bike and be able to do a days hard graft without problems

Social Media .
Ok TFF is social media, but I am on about Facebook /Twitter etc, as they are a platform for all the extremists, and those with weird beliefs and theories to air their views to the rest of the world and perhaps indoctrinate members of society who are easily manipulated. Not a good situation.
Before social media came about the afore mentioned, did not get much publicity.

Some of the opinions or conspiracy theories that are touted on face book absolutely stagger me with inanity of them . I just wonder how they come up with them , and the language that they turn over , very often from young women , on open forums , I just can't believe it . Some would make the stereotypical "Navvy" blush .

No, no, we’ve gotten beyond that point in our relationship, she’s come to accept that in such circumstances it’s best just to stand back a bit and not get involved beyond prescribed boundaries as inanimate objects are likely to be launched in all directions at very short notice if the job goes badly. 🤭🤣

For example when only half rods came back out of the pipe. 🤬

They’re still there……..well apart from the one with the broken end, it’s in the wheat somewhere.

I needed a smart battery charger so went on Ebay where there are many to choose from.
I want to support British or European engineering, not Chinese, so I spend some time searching for a British one.
Some Chinese ads. are easy to spot as they have a Chinese address, others are more subtle, as while there may be a British flag displayed, further digging finds again a Chinese address.
At last I find a British Company with an actual UK address selling one. It's a little more expensive than the Chinese ones, but that's okay I'm supporting local industry.
Item arrives, I unwrap it only to find,
"Made in China"
